I recently had the chance to take a dear friend to The Grand Canyon.
She was visiting from overseas and I was trying to help her experience as much of the USA as she had time for.
Since the Grand Caynon South Rim is about 5 hours away I knew we could do it in a day.
I decided to take a tour bus leaving one of the Vegas Hotels.
This would leave my friend and I plenty of time to chat and I wouldn't be driving tired alone.
It actually worked out PERFECT in the end and I found an online deal which was great.
We were off on our adventure and much to everyone's surprise encountered a HUGE snowstorm!
The fog and clouds and blowing snow blocked much of the regular views.
But made for some AMAZING views and an UNFORGETTABLE adventure!
{If anyone wants to go just let me know I would go back in a minute!}
It wasn't until I got home and saw my pictures on the computer that I realized how beautiful some of them were.
Last year I started really learning how to play around with the camera and I've been lucky with a few great pictures.
I'm taking pictures daily and also love taking pics from my phone!
So this year when I met a group from Google+ that was doing a photo project I said YES!
There are many ways to go about doing a Yearly Photography Project so here are a few ideas.
1. How long~
365 Projects are where you document you daily life with one picture each day.
Project 53 is where you document your life once a week.
Try doing it for one month and take a picture once each day for just one month.
2. What type~
Will you join an online photo community that hosts it for you?
Find a friend and do it together for support.
Do this as a Selfy and take the pictures of only you.
Make a list of topics so you are doing a different item each time.
Or simply just do it?
I think the list idea is great even if it's just to get your creativity flowing.
3. To Do~
Decide where you will gather these pictures. Google+ uses Picasa for albums.
Flickr is another album sharing place to gather your pictures online.
Or will you go retro and use your film camera for this one?
4. Book~
This would make a great book when all is said and done!
Below I've shared some links of interest if you are thinking of doing a photo project such as this.
