First Day of Fall {Tradition}

Summer was wonderful... then it was Back to School a few short weeks ago and finally, early this morning, Fall arrived!  Too many people want to rush each Season and Holiday upon us.  I want to savor every moment!  Well I can't be in denial any longer {even though it will be 100 degrees out today} and I must welcome the next Season.

 So when the the new Season arrives I have the tradition of celebrating it by finding a display to visit that welcomes it.  A favorite spot to do this is at the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens .

Where even the living Floral Masterpiece has the feeling of Fall!

Nothing says Fall like red, orange, and yellow leaves.  When you live in the desert they are not too common {any tree that loses leaves doesn't happen until usually after Thanksgiving here} so one must settle for the very large ones on display!

Fall colored leaves and of course my favorite PUMPKINS!

To me there is nothing that says Fall is here, better than a Pumpkin.  I have an obsession for Pumpkins!

The colors... the shapes... the textures...

I love them all! {I managed to capture one of the dancing waters in this picture!}

Perfect Peach Cinderella Pumpkin!

Pale White Giant Pumpkin!

Perfect Pumpkin for carving a Jack-o-lantern!

This enormous beauty weighs a whopping 913 pounds!

The perfect match for these beautiful Pumpkins are the colored Fall Flowers of course!

Isn't this Peach colored Pumpkin made from flowers just gorgeous?!

Or how about an Apple made from Roses?!

Incredible shades of Orange!

Golden shades of Yellow!

Deep shades of Coral and Red...

and the Perfect shade of Purple, all go so well together with the Orange in this Fall Collection!

Hey who took a pic of me taking a pic?!

What do you think of this Giant corn-on-the-cob made from real Fall colored corn?

I feel like I've stepped into the Countryside with this...

display of Topiary Horses inside a fenced in Pasture.

No Fall Pasture would be complete without a Scarecrow!

Or a Babbling Brook...

complete with a Water Wheel.

Nearby the old Wagon Wheel!

But certainly no Fall Garden would be complete without a Haunted Old Tree...

 with a face that moves and talks!

So there you have it... my creative views and thoughts and traditions on this The First Day of Fall!  What traditions do you have to bring Fall into Season?  If you don't have any then start your own today!

  1. Don't know of any traditions to bring Fall. I'm more of trying to keep it away as Fall is one step into Winter. I'm a Spring and Summer person. Winter can have its beautiful scenery especially as snow has fallen but I'd rather have Summer, if you ask me (please grant my wish).
    So good to see the conservatory again. Even though I have never set one step inside thanks to you it feels like I've been there around the clock/year. Soon I hope to actually set both feet inside ;)
    One good thing about Fall is the beautiful color combinations, yellow, brown, stonered, brick, orange you can see around.
