Hells Kitchen with Gordon Ramsay
I was lucky enough to attend a surprise live taping of Hell's Kitchen with Gordon Ramsay. I must tell you that it was quite an experience too! The taping was held in the Penn & Teller Theater at the Rio Hotel and Casino here in Las Vegas. Gordon has some surprises planned for the next year Season 11 of his famous show called "Hell's Kitchen". He has a very successful reality based cooking show/contest that is currently in it's 10th season. He takes people from all walks of life that desire to be the next great chef and puts them through a rigorous contest where only the strongest even has a chance of surviving! Along with his perfection and attention to detail, Gordon's flowery and shocking language has really become his trademark. I must say that in watching him live he seems very real and professional. When you are the best at something you do it has got to be hard training those who do things half way. Everything he was saying, when critiquing the chefs, was really what we in the audience were thinking!
You definitely won't want to miss the Opening Special for Season 11 of Hell's Kitchen as it will be full of first time surprises for the show! The biggest one being us, the live audience, as this is the first and maybe only time that you will see this happen in his show (and I'm quoting Gordon on this)! The chef contestants were truly shocked when they drove onto the back of the stage and the curtains opened and nearly 2000 of us were madly cheering them on! They were flown into town that morning thinking they were going on a tour of Gordon's restaurant and Las Vegas places! This season has some great characters participating and I know who I'm cheering for already! Oh and you won't want to miss out in seeing what happens next, who wins the first challenge and the best part is what happens to the losers! There was excitement in the air as this show was taped and it will spill over into the rest of Season 11 as it promises to be another great year for Gordon Ramsay and Hell's Kitchen!
The opening special episode that I saw taped is for the next season. As far as I can see on Fox Programming, Season 11 of Hell's Kitchen is set to air Friday Nights starting Mid Season for the 2012-2013 Season. But for now you can check out the rest of Season 10 on Fox at 8pm on Monday Nights.
I have been very lucky with connections that I have, which have allowed me to get into many fun events, but for this show I got my free tickets through On Camera Audience. They are an online company that many popular shows use to distribute tickets for TV events. I have used them for years in the past to see "America's Got Talent" and "American Idol" to name a few. I have seen shows both in Hollywood and Las Vegas. The trick is to sign up and then arrive early in line because just getting a ticket doesn't guarantee you a seat. Also read the rules for each show pertaining to times, ages and dress codes, etc.
So tell me... have you ever been to a live taping? If so let me know which one. If not, would you ever consider doing something like this?
Its one thing to watch the show on TV but you got to actually go to the show live! I would love for the opportunity to go to a live showing of "Hell's Kitchen" so I can see how the chef's cook their dishes in person. I got the Hopper so that I will always have the new episode of “Hell's Kitchen”, “Kitchen Nightmares”, “Hotel Hell” and “Masterchef” automatically recorded on my DVR's hard drive. My Dish coworker told me that the Hoppers PrimeTime Anytime feature will automatically record all of my prime time shows that come on CBS, NBC, FOX and ABC everyday in HD. This is the perfect whole home DVR for me, and I learned this morning that my Hopper also has a Auto Hop feature that allows me to skip my recorded commercials when I watch my PrimeTime Anytime recordings!
