Christmas Eve {Traditions}

Welcome to Day 24 in WeNdYs WiNtEr WoNdErLaNd!

I have been so busy enjoying my holiday break having fun!  Now for my holiday update!

So Christmas Eve traditions are many at our house, but not at all picture perfect!  A bit of chaos but tons of fun!  Check it out!

Afternoon starts out with Gingerbread Cookie baking and creative decorating!

Followed by a yummy and easy Christmas Eve dinner! {Recipes to follow in a few future posts next week.}

So busy cooking and baking and decorating that everyone wanted to eat Christmas Eve dinner while we watched Christmas Vacation on TV!  {Christmas movies are a huge tradition in our home and this is their favorite!}

Followed by our fabulous and famous Christmas Eve tradition of chocolate fondue!  This year we also experimented with an additional pot of Nutella fondue for dipping!

We dip fresh fruit and dried and angel food cake and marshmallows and graham crackers and on and on...

Sparkling Cider is a must for any holiday tradition at our house!

Next stop is the Music Room where we pose for a few funny pictures and get ready to place the presents under the tree! {They all make fun of my cheerful holiday attire!}

I spy a couple of comedians playing the fake horn ornaments from the Music Room tree!

Then Claire gets us into some holiday cheer!

She plays some great Christmas songs for us!

Then Mr. C treats us to some of his piano playing and then his great duets with Claire!

I put a few finishing touches to the Christmas tree and the presents that surround it!  Mr. C then treats us to some more fabulous Christmas Carols on the organ!

Soon the lights are turned off on my Gingerbread House and there are visions of sugarplums dancing in their heads as not a creature is stirring ... except for...

One of Santa's favorite elves who ran back into the kitchen to finish a few things up {well maybe more} and make my famous Christmas Jellos {recipes to follow as well}!  I mean who can sleep on a night like this!

The stockings are now hung by the fire, under the watchful eye of an elf!  So there you have it!  Christmas Eve Traditions in our home!  Wendys Winter Wonderland!  Might not be picture perfect but it is perfect enough for us!  What did Christmas Eve find you doing?  Now is a great time to plan a new Christmas Eve Tradition for next year if you don't already have one!
