Happy May Day! When I was a girl I would celebrate this day by picking flowers to place on peoples doorsteps. So today I am placing this floral delight on your virtual doorstep! One of my favorite Vegas spots is visiting the Bellagio Conservatory. I'm a flower addict so when I spotted this masterpiece reproduced in flowers I nearly went into shock! It was inspired by the original David Hockney painting titled, Garrowby Hill, which is also currently on display here at the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art.
It really is incredible what that 3-dimensional effect does for this design.
Everything was reproduced in such detail that even the back of the huge frame had hooks!
I had to snap a pic of me in front so you could see the actual size. Wouldn't this look great in my garden room at home? I hope you were able to see a flower and maybe took a moment to smell them. Happy May Day my friends! I share my May Day flower with each of you!
{Tune back tomorrow when I share with you the rest of the incredible beauty I saw at the conservatory!} Here is a LINK to it now!
UPDATE - I received a nice email from the guy who built the frame for this "Masterpiece"! His company is Daniels Wood Land, Inc. and they make incredible things including the most unique tree houses you have ever seen! Check them out!
WOW, from the first sneak I knew this was the Bellagio. Super! This looks like spring in a painting to me. I really really have to check out this hotel, if I get to see you (hopefully I will).
ReplyDeleteYou look enlighted, spring pink lady!
