Manly Cupcakes {Recipe}

What treat do you make your "Manly Man" on Fathers Day?  A Manly Cupcake {topped with a mustache} of course!

Yesterday I shared with you my perfect Fathers Day Gift {mustache and all} so if you missed it then be sure to click here and check out all the fun!

 This morning I will share with you my recipe for these Manly Cupcakes!  Believe me when I say that no Dad or real {Manly Man} will turn these down!

So I took a spin-off {my own variation} of everyone's favorite "That Gooey Chocolate Candy Bar Cake" that {no MAN will get tired of either} and made my many Manly Cupcakes!

Things you will need for RECIPE:

1 box of your favorite German Chocolate Cake Mix {prepared per box instructions}
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
1 container of Cool Whip
1 jar of caramel sauce
2 SKOR candy bars {frozen and then crumbled into small pieces}

Mix chocolate cake mix up {per instructions on box} and pour into papered cupcake liners, in muffin tins.  You will need these liners to hold all of that gooey cupcake goodness together! {I found out by accident that if you double the liners it will hold all of this filling in much better!}  One box of cake mix will make two dozen cupcakes.

Once baked and out of the oven, you take a thick wooden skewer and poke generous holes into each cupcake, while still warm.

Then, using a teaspoon, carefully pour sweetened condensed milk over cupcakes and into holes.  {When making the full cake size this is quick and easy.} But with these cupcakes you will need to do it slow and in layers, at least three or four times.  The warm cake and holes will soak up quite a bit though.  {You will not use as much topping when making cupcakes as opposed to the full cake.}

Next do the same with the caramel sauce!  When you're finished with this put the cupcakes in the fridge to get cold, for at least an hour.

Once cool, you now top your cupcake off with a whole lot of creamy Cool Whip and sprinkle it with your crumbled SKOR bar!  Come on be generous with the toppings now!

Then the perfect topper to place on top of the perfect Manly Mans Cupcake had to be a Manly Mustache!  So I drew up a shape as my pattern {on heavy cardstock} cut one out of fuzzy fake fur fabric, and glued it together with a stick!

The perfect combination for a Fathers Day surprise that is sure to bring a lot of smiles and Happy Dads!

So make a bunch and spread some Manly Love this Fathers Day!

We made enough for Dad and Grandpa and still have some for the busy bakers and mustache models!  Enjoy and Happy Fathers Day to all of you Manly Men out there!
