Honeysuckle {Garden}

Halls Honeysuckle
HONEYSUCKLE

Honeysuckle in My Garden
reminds me of My Childhood
and
playing at my Grandmother's House.

Halls Honeysuckle is a variety of Japanese Honeysuckle that grows like a vine.
Once planted it can be an aggressive grower.  Mine just popped up wild without planting!
You can easily trim them whenever you want and they will come back.
The flowers are pure white and then  turn yellow and darken with age.
They bloom in Spring and throughout Summer and into Fall, in my yard.
Honeysuckle are VERY fragrant and attract Butterflies and Hummingbirds.

As a child there was nothing more fun than running out
to pull the center of the flower and suck the delicate honey flavor!
We would play house and that was our food.

Oh the MEMORIES!
What brings back childhood memories for you?
I'd really like to hear!

Gotta run for now...
I'm off to smell the sweetness and see if the flavor I remember is still in them!
