Gourmet Food Trucks

Gourmet Food Trucks

Those old school "taco trucks" have come a long way since their early days
and  are now incredible mobile eating establishments that rival many great restaurants .

Last weekend I attended the
Las Vegas Foodie Fest 2012
Where I was overwhelmed with sampling from over 45 Gourmet Food Trucks!
Trucks came from all over town and many from California too.

My daughters are addicted to the
Rusty Pickle Food Truck
and follow them just to have their famous Fried Pickles!

They also LOVE the famous Lobster Grilled Cheese from
Devilicious Food Truck

I would have to say that the best BBQ I have ever had was from
 Super Q Food Truck
from San Diego!

I loved how
Engine 1` Pizza
has turned the belly of the vintage Fire Truck into a wood burning pizza oven!

Most Gourmet Food Trucks can be found on Facebook and Twitter,
which makes it easy to find out where your favorite truck will be on any given day!
Many trucks also hire out for private parties!

Some of the trucks  I saw were:
White Rabbit Truck {CA}, Fuku Burger {LV}, Devilicious Food {CA}, Tasty Bunz {LV}, Curbside Cafe {LV},
The Pogi Boy Truck {CA}, Haulin Balls {LV}, Rusty Pickle {LV}, Slidin' Thru {LV}, Grouchy John's {LV},
Sausage Fest {LV}, Lola D's Kitchen {LV}, Fat Daddy's Ice Cream {LV}, Love Grub Food Truck {LV}, Wtf Pizza {CA},
Chi Town Hustler {LV}, Red Neck Kitchen {LV}, Foxxy Ladies Cupcakes {LV},  Engine1Pizza {LV},
and on and on!

Many of the Vegas Local Gourmet Food Trucks can be found at
First Friday Las Vegas

Next weekend on May 12, 2012 is the
Vegas Streats Festival
in downtown Vegas...
featuring
Slidin' Thru
Haulin Balls
 Rusty Pickle
and more!

If you can imagine it...
you will probably find it on a food truck...
and many times you will be pleasantly surprised by the unimaginable!

So tell me...
have you eaten at a Gourmet Food Truck lately?
What's the BEST thing you have tried?
I'm dying to hear so I can find it too!

  1. I really wish we had more food trucks around here. And I love fried pickles! The first place I worked at, 18 years ago, specialized in fried pickles.

    1. Maybe there are so many here and in Cali because we have no snow and they can be outside year round. You definitely need to try the Rusty Pickle if you ever get down to Vegas! Sounds like you're an expert.

    1. They are beautiful and colorful Dee, not like the old taco trucks of yesteryear!
